Pre-course assessment and evaluation 

Before participation in any course, an initial assessment is conducted in order to place the individual on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The initial assessment consists of a  phone or video-conference discussion and completion of a short grammar quiz.  During the discussion the participant will be asked to identify their training objectives, the prefered duration and frequency of the training. A tailor-made programme is then designed and sent to the individual/ company for approval with an official quote or the training contract. 

If the needs of the trainee change during the course, the training program will be adapted accordingly. The trainee will be asked at regular intervals throughout the training if they are satisfied with the course, and if there is anything that they would like to change. 

At the end of the course participants are asked to complete a satisfaction form regarding their training. A written evaluation is given to participants which includes details of their progress in relation to their initial objectives, test results if applicable and areas for continued development. If required, access to a recognized English language tests is available for all clients.

This is a convenient, cost effective option to independently evaluate the language level of employees and individuals. The test is conducted in the office/ home and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. The results are delivered quickly.

TOEIC test 

Toeic  tests are well known English language tests offered by ETS Global. Access to the different TOEIC tests is arranged at the end of a course, in various Toeic test centres around France, an online version of the test is also available.

From 01/01/2020 – 28/02/2021 Kate  Connolly Training  gave 13 individual training courses to 10 learners. Training courses are systematically tailor-made for each learner and are normally given on a weekly basis over several weeks or months. No trainees dropped out during their training. 100% of satisfaction questionnaire respondents indicated that their overall appreciation of the course and the quality of the training were excellent.

For the TOIEC test the candidate obtains a score between 10 and 990, with the correlation on the A1 to C1 levels of the CECRL. For the Bright test the candidate obtains a score between 0 and 5, with the correlation on the A1 to C1 levels of the CECRL. Results of trainees who took the Bright test between 2020 and February 2021: 2 people ; elementary level A2. 3 people ; intermediate level B1. 1 person ; advanced level C1. Results of trainees who took the TOEIC test in 2020: 1 person elementary A2 level.28/
